Job Title: Automotive Test Engineer – Structures/Vibration

Location: Leyland, UK

Salary: up to £41,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Our client, a leading international group in digital and sustainable mobility, is seeking an Automotive Test Engineer to join their team at Leyland. As a Component Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of testing from an engineering perspective, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environment, and security procedures, including the maintenance of risk assessments and appropriate PPE usage.
  • Liaise with customers to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet expectations, while obtaining feedback for performance improvements.
  • Work with engineers to design test plans and efficiently deliver tests to professional standards.
  • Maintain project documentation, ensure equipment calibration validity, and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor financial performance by ensuring projects are delivered on time and within agreed resources.

Key Skills/Attributes & Experience:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Experience in vibration testing using shaker systems and component rig testing.
  • Proficiency in instrumentation, data acquisition, and technical report writing.
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and strong communication skills.
