Job Title: Principal Chemical Process Engineer

Location: Greater Manchester

Contract Type: outside IR35

Rate up to £55/hr

Duration: 6 months initially with potential for long-term extension

Start Date: Immediate

Responsibilities:

  • Develop PFD/PID, process descriptions, and control philosophies.
  • Create process equipment data sheets and schedules for pipelines, valves, and instruments.
  • Conduct process ‘sizing’ calculations and attend HAZOP sessions.
  • Lead other process engineers on larger projects.
  • Produce relief device calculations following API standards.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.
  • Travel occasionally within the UK and overseas for client visits and site surveys.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Skills/Attributes & Experience:

  • Chartered Engineer status.
  • Significant relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in chemical and pharmaceutical sector design.
  • Ability to assess process requirements and estimate project scope.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work in-office and remotely.
  • Adaptable to varying project sizes and types.
