£45,000 – £55,000 per annum + benefits

I have a great opportunity for a Senior Architect with a highly respected, award-winning Architectural practice.  Due to their strong and constantly growing pipeline of Education sector work, they are seeking an experienced Architect with a good knowledge of the DfE’s Priority School design process.  Taking a lead role as part of their dedicated Education team, you will be supporting a broad range of exciting projects, including specialist SEND schools. 

The business has a strong focus on ensuring a work / life balance, with good flexible working arrangements, including a 4.5-day week.  Their “no-ego” approach allows everyone to feel that they are an integral part of the business.  With many of their staff having worked for the business for over 15 years, their low staff turnover is testament to their success as a business and the support that they give to all staff.

Key skills

Suitable candidates should be able to demonstrate:

  • A minimum of 5 year’s post qualification working in the UK.
  • Applicants should be registered with the Architect’s Registration Board or hold an equivalent international professional qualification.
  • Experience of having a lead architect role, organising and managing projects through all the RIBA stages.
  • Ability to present and deliver projects through concept design, feasibility & planning stages.
  • Excellent graphic & presentation skills including 3D visualisation.
  • Working experience of compiling a NBS
  • Manage client and project team relationships.
  • Working knowledge of Building Regulations and ability to liaise with statutory authorities during design and construction stages.
  • Ability to meet deadlines with an efficient work rate and good time management skills.
  • Client facing with project team management skills.
  • Working experience using Revit software (BIM L2 beneficial).
  • Excellent communication and co-ordination skills, with the ability to take appropriate initiative within a team environment.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Commitment to following QA procedures.
