The Job:
As a Steam Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in working with the project team to deliver rental boiler packages across UK & Ireland. You will be invloved in all aspects of project execution from initial site survey, all way through to aftercare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site surveys to assess the technical needs for potential rental solutions
- Contribute to the conceptual and Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) stages of the project lifecycle
- Perform non-statutory pre and post-project inspections on our equipment fleet
- Identify and prepare inventory, overseeing the loadout process
- Efficiently manage PSSR2000 inspections, collaborating closely with our selected competent body
- Maintain control of pressure certification for our ancillary fleet
- Establish and maintain regular communication with customers to determine their requirements and uphold a high standard of customer service
- Manage the spares inventory system
- Provide technical assistance to the sales team during the tendering phase
- Collaborate with other colleagues to effectively promote products and services
- Conduct pre and post-project inspections on equipment fleet
- Achieve the specific job mission outlined in a separate document
Requirements:
- Prior engineering experience, with a preference for candidates with a background in steam boilers
- Commissioning experience, particularly in the context of steam boilers
- Demonstrated strong Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) track record
- Proficiency in working with pipework, hosework, and related ancillaries. Familiarity with EN13480, EN1092-1, and ASME 31.3 standards is advantageous
- Proficiency in interpreting Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) as well as Electrical schematics
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to convey ideas, exchange information, and express thoughts clearly
- A keen understanding of the correlation between one’s role and the overall business objectives
- Capability to positively influence, persuade, and leave a lasting impression on others to achieve desired results
- Commitment to upholding organisational, ethical, and social values in all business activities
- Good understanding of steam boilers
- Knowledge of PSSR2000 & PED statutes would be desirable
- Good IT skills and competences. Experienced user of the Office 365 suite. AutoCAD experience would be beneficial
- AutoCAD proficient would be desirable
Educational Requirements:
- Qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
